The only problem being is that i can claim an education copy of MS office 2008 Mac for £40 whereas iWork would be £70 from Amazon. I have no need for entourage or Microsoft messenger as I have my preferred solutions, that being Mail and Adium messenger respectively. Purely because of keynote I would choose iWork in a heartbeat but for outright compatibility surely MS office would work better?Īlthough I do have the full version of Office 2007 to lean upon on my PC and I've read loads on the internet about MS office 2008 Mac being slow, buggy and plain awful (typical microsoft then) so I'm leaning quite strongly towards iWork.

I'm probably going to get both (best of both worlds) because I can't choose between the two. It was too different from excel and just felt backward in comparison.

Even though i haven't tried MS office powerpoint for mac, i have used the pc version a lot and keynote was really worthwhile. The problem is that i'm just too comfortable with MS office and iWork seems to be a bit basic in comparison IMO.Īlthough, being honest, i loved keynote.
